Export Processing Zone (EPZA)
A Pakistan Government venture to ensbling environment for investors to initiate export-oriented projects in the Zones. EPZs are being established in close cooperation or under joint venture arrangements with the private sector. Several incentives, services and facilities are provided to the investors in EPZs. Exports Related Facilitating Intitutions
Several institutions have been set up by Government of Pakistan to facilitate exports from Pakistan, which include:-
Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (Website Link)
This institution is working under Ministry of Commerce. Its activities may include:-
- Participation in 40 to 60 international trade exhibitions annually
- Sending 20 to 40 trade delegations abroad every year.
- Organizing the EXPO PAKISTAN annually in Pakistan, which is well-attended by foreign buyers.Runs the Expo Centre, Karachi providing a permanent exhibition space for holding trade events.
- Implementing various Trade Policy Initiatives announced by the Commerce Ministry.
- Undertaking various sector-development projects from the Export Development Fund.
